In 2023, TOPBOY mixed and mastered "My Skeleethe (Remix)" by T-Jxint [feat. Vinny West], which hit 10 million streams on Spotify alone and also went viral on TikTok. Having found some success in Hip Hop/Rap, TOPBOY works with other genres including Reggaetón, Pop, Dark Wave, R&B, House, Alternative, and Corridos Tumbados.

I've recorded a few of songs in the past at home studios via people I found on craigslist. It was a mixed bag. Overall, I was okay with the results - This was my first time going to a recording studio and it was a great experience. I researched the engineers on the Mix / Zoom website, read the reviews, and played their samples, I narrowed it down to 4 and wound up going with Lalo AKA TopBoy thinking he was the best fit based on genre of music and how he explained his working style - Great choice on my part! Previous positive reviews I read about him were right. Lalo was awesome, super friendly, letting me know off the bat he is there for me and if I want suggestions, he'll make them but if I don't that is fine too. By the end of the 4 hours we were like two buddies vibing off each other to work the song. (I was there to record vocals, mix & master to recorded music I came with) I'll be going back to Lalo for sure to finish the song and if session 2 goes as well then, I will come back with my next song... No more craigslist for recording for me. The studio communication is primary text/ email - they are fast and enthusiastic to respond.

Have been recording with Topboy going on 3years & he is the best I’ve worked with. I’ve gone to many different engineers & stopped looking once I worked with him. Nothing but great vibes w when working, consistently recommend him to ALL artist I come across. If he’s not in the studio I won’t record.

It usually takes around 2 hours for me to do a song but with Topboy, we knocked out 4 songs in 4 hours. He works very efficiently while ensuring great quality which is extremely rare. He also gave various pointers regarding my delivery that also improved the quality of the songs we did. I would highly recommend booking a session with him!

Didn't know what to expect but I can honestly say that Lalo has so much talent with engineering, he helped me tweak my song into such a vibe and I love how he tells you when something doesn't sound good so that you can make it as perfect as possible, I was so nervous getting back into music but working with lalo took away the nervousness and motivated me even further to go farther, the project we worked on sounds like a masterpiece thanks to his skills!
