Same-Day Recording Studio in Los Angeles

Walk In or Book Online. Record Today, Tonight, or at 3 AM. ZOOM Is Open Around the Clock, Every Day of the Year.

ZOOM Recording Studio runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 539 S Rampart Blvd in Westlake, Los Angeles. That is not a tagline. Both rooms are staffed and operational at 2 PM and 2 AM alike. If the calendar has an open slot when you check, you can book it and walk in the same day.

Most studios in LA close by midnight or require 48-hour advance notice. ZOOM does neither. The building stays unlocked around the clock, parking is on-site, and there is no surcharge for booking outside of business hours. Late-night and early-morning sessions are billed at our standard overnight rate, which runs lower than daytime.

How Same-Day Booking Works

Check availability at zoomrecordingstudio.com/booking or call +1 323-616-1990. If a slot is open, it is yours. No deposit required for hourly bookings. Confirmation is immediate. If you are driving over right now, text or call ahead so we can have the room prepped by the time you park.

Same-day availability depends on what is already on the calendar. Weekday overnights (midnight to 9 AM, Monday through Wednesday) tend to have the most openings. Weekend evenings fill faster. Checking the morning of for that evening usually works. Checking at 11 PM for a midnight session often works too.

Overnight and Late-Night Rates

Recording between midnight and 9 AM costs less than daytime. ZOOM I (non-smoking) overnight lockout runs $16/hr Monday through Wednesday and $19/hr Thursday through Sunday. ZOOM II (smoking-permitted) overnight lockout is $20/hr Monday through Wednesday and $23/hr Thursday through Sunday. Two-hour minimum on engineered sessions. These are the same rates whether you booked three weeks ago or three hours ago.

Daytime rates start at $39/hr for ZOOM I and $49/hr for ZOOM II. Longer sessions get a break: $35/hr for 4+ hours on ZOOM I (Mon through Wed, or 6+ hours on weekends), $45/hr on ZOOM II. Full pricing and packages on our pricing page, including our Rising Star (16-hour), VIP (30-hour), and Icon (50-hour) prepaid bundles.

Who Books Same-Day Sessions

Artists finishing a track who need one more vocal pass before a release deadline. Voice actors with a last-minute audition callback. Podcasters who locked a guest and need to record before schedules shift again. Producers who flew into LA this morning and leave tomorrow. Songwriters who wrote something on the way here and want to lay it down while the idea is fresh.

The pattern is the same: the work cannot wait, and most studios are either closed or booked. ZOOM exists to fill that gap. We see same-day bookings every week, often several per night.

What to Bring

For vocals: your session files on a USB drive, hard drive, or cloud link. If you are recording to a beat, have the instrumental ready in WAV or high-quality MP3. The room runs Pro Tools with a full plugin suite, a Neumann TLM 103 condenser and Shure SM7B, with Yamaha NS10 and Dynaudio LYD 8 monitoring.

For podcasts: your questions, guest information, and any branding assets for the intro. We handle the recording chain. For voiceover: your script. For anything else, call ahead and we will tell you exactly what we need from your end.

Room Options

ZOOM I is non-smoking. Acoustically treated for vocal recording, podcast capture, and voiceover. ZOOM II allows smoking during your session. Same gear chain and engineer options in both rooms. Each room seats up to 4 people comfortably. Both are available same-day and overnight.

An Advanced engineer ($30/hr add-on) manages your levels, monitors takes, handles the Pro Tools session, and delivers organized files at the end. Self-directed sessions are available if you run your own chain. For mixing and mastering after recording, we offer in-house services or you can use online mixing and mastering from our partner studio in the same building.
